New coalition government may ease taxes on tobacco alternatives in Poland

A coalition of centre-right, liberal, and left-wing forces is the most likely to form a new government in Poland before the end of the year, following elections held on 15th October.

This should mean an end to eight years of rule by the right-wing Law and Justice (PiS) government. It may also mean the adoption of favourable fiscal policies with regards to the vaping and tobacco alternatives sectors, as many of its politicians have criticised the incumbent government for the numerous tax hikes it has introduced since taking over power in 2015.
