New Democratic nominee for vice-president (VP) Tim Walz is unlikely to be a friend to the tobacco alternatives and vaping industries.
But then this could be assumed from even a cursory glance at his biography. The current governor of the state of Minnesota formerly worked as a high school teacher and lost his father to lung cancer at an early age. These two major life experiences have informed much of Walz’s later political career.
