A new tax increase on tobacco products in Egypt is set to go into effect on 5th November, with implications not only for traditional cigarettes but also for alternative products such as heated tobacco products (HTPs) and e-cigarettes. This marks the second implementation of law 157/2025 amending the Value Added Tax Law.
