What to expect in 2026: more regulation yet strong growth for HTPs and pouches

TobaccoIntelligence forecasts significant growth for both the heated tobacco and nicotine pouch markets in 2026.

Heated tobacco will grow to around $36bn this year, fuelled by major markets like Italy, Japan, Russia and South Korea.

For nicotine pouches, TobaccoIntelligence predicts an increase to $10bn for the first time – up from $7.9bn in 2025.
