Toxicity and notifications: a guide to European CLP regulations, part 2

As TobaccoIntelligence reported recently, in Europe chemical substances must be classified according to their toxicity levels and depending on the classification some obligations arise, stemming from the EU Regulation on the classification, labelling and packaging of substances and mixtures (CLP Regulation).

This report provides guidance on the obligations to notify that arise as a consequence of the application of Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 on the classification, labelling and packaging of substances and mixtures.

More specifically the focus is on:

  • the obligation to notify the C&L Inventory;
  • the obligation to notify national poison centres.
