Altria reported a solid performance in the first half of 2023 despite lower net revenues, partially offset by higher revenue in the oral tobacco segment.
In September the company plans to begin an international test of its new On! Plus tobacco-derived nicotine wet pouch product, which will be available via e-commerce in Sweden. Altria said it is on track to file a premarket tobacco product application (PMTA) with the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for On! Plus next year.
