Altria has signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the South Korean tobacco manufacturer KT&G focused on long-term growth opportunities, primarily in oral nicotine products.
As part of the deal, Altria acquired a stake in a Nordic nicotine pouch company, Another Snus Factory (ASF), which KT&G is also acquiring. The goal is for the two companies to leverage KT&G’s international distribution network to expand the global presence of their nicotine pouch products, such as Altria’s On! and ASF’s Loop brand.
