Amendment to Costa Rica law seeks much stricter tobacco alternatives regulation

Costa Rica is advancing legislation aimed at strengthening its regulatory framework for the tobacco alternatives industry, with a new amendment that will comprehensively replace the existing law.

Introduced to the National Assembly on 9th October by president Rodrigo Chaves, this amendment seeks to reinforce the country’s laws initially enacted in 2021.
