Canadian tobacco regulation review may include requiring manufacturers to pay

The Canadian government has begun a legislative review of the country’s tobacco legislation, saying it wants to reduce the number of smokers nationwide.

It is also exploring the possibility of requiring tobacco manufacturers to pay for the cost of federal government public health investments in tobacco control.
