The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has appointed Cristine Delnevo, director of the Rutgers Center for Tobacco Studies at the State University of New Jersey, as chair of the Tobacco Products Scientific Advisory Committee (TPSAC) – a choice that has gone down well.
Cliff Douglas, director of the University of Michigan Tobacco Research Network, told TobaccoIntelligence that Delnevo has a good reputation as an “objective, thoughtful scientist”.
