Convenience store giants challenge Canada’s nicotine pouch rules in court

Two companies representing thousands of convenience stores across Canada have filed a challenge in the Federal Court of Canada, seeking to strike down new restrictions on where nicotine pouches can be sold.

In separate applications for judicial review, Parkland Corporation and two subsidiaries of Alimentation Couche-Tard say federal health minister Mark Holland exceeded his powers when he ordered new restrictions on nicotine pouches.
