Council of State partially suspends total nicotine pouch ban in France until June

The French Council of State has partially suspended a government decree intended to enforce a total ban on nicotine pouches by April 2026, following a successful emergency challenge by the manufacturing firm EVLB.

In its ruling, the Council of State found that the decree’s rapid implementation provided insufficient time for companies to reorganise previously legal operations.
