No further steps are expected in the revision of the EU legislative framework for tobacco control at least until this year’s second half.
Based on recent updates of the evaluation process timeline published on the European Commission (EC) website, the adoption of its results on behalf of the Commission is not expected before the third quarter of 2024.
“Presently, the Commission is conducting a comprehensive evaluation of the EU legislative framework on tobacco control,” an EC spokesperson told TobaccoIntelligence.
