Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan: what you need to know from origins to latest review

The European Parliament’s Committee on Public Health (SANT) is set to adopt reports on Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan. This will happen alongside ongoing regulatory work and potential preparatory work for the third version of the EU Tobacco Products Directive (TPD3).

The Beating Cancer Plan was initially released in 2021, and its review was done in 2025. The review did not include a new plan, but instead evaluated achievements and challenges from 2021 to 2024.
