Heated tobacco has been booming in Japan since PMI introduced IQOS in 2014. Japan has been a major focus for recent launches of other heated tobacco products, including Glo by BAT and Ploom Tech by JT. This report looks at the marketing conditions established for the industry in Japan, while comparing the three main heated tobacco products which are sold in the country.
