A cap of 20 mg/g will be applied to nicotine pouches in Iceland following an amendment to the law on e-cigarettes and refills that brings pouches under its remit – the first time nicotine pouches have been subject to their own specific rules in the country.
Regulation 992/2022, which establishes the maximum nicotine content, also sets out the notification procedure for nicotine pouches and how to obtain a licence to sell them.
