The ban on the import of heated tobacco products (HTPs) in Iraq was lifted in May 2025.
HTPs are included in the tobacco regime, and restrictions enclosed in the law apply to HTPs. However, HTPs are not currently specifically regulated, and are in the process of being regulated with specific standards being drafted.
Herbal heated sticks are not regulated in Iraq.
