Ireland decides not to regulate nicotine pouches but wait to see if EU does it first

Irish legislators have no plans to introduce country-specific regulations to nicotine pouches at present, despite the products already being widespread in the market and currently being sold without restrictions since they are not specifically regulated.

Instead, lawmakers will wait for nicotine pouches to be regulated at the European Union level through revisions to the EU Tobacco Products Directive (TPD).
