Italian decree clarifies tax rules and restrictions for herbal heated products

In a significant step to restrict the online sale of nicotine products, Italy has banned online sales of nicotine-containing e-cigarettes, indicating a shift towards stricter regulations. Additionally, the new legislation clarifies the taxation and some of the restrictions on herbal heated products.

Italy has officially banned the online sale of nicotine-containing e-cigarettes, a move first reported by ECigIntelligence over a year ago. The decree, published in the Official Gazette on 3rd October, will take effect on 1st January 2025.
