Heated tobacco products were regulated in Jordan in 2019 with the issuance by the Jordan Food and Drug Administration (FDA) of the Basis for Tobacco and Nicotine Products, Including Electronic Products. The basis sets the rules for product restrictions, registration, labelling, advertising, retail restrictions, and health warnings. This is supplemented with the Jordan Standards and Metrology Organization’s standard.
The Jordan FDA has said that herbal heated products would fall under the same provisions as heated tobacco, making them subject to the same notification, packaging and labelling requirements.
