Snus and chewing tobacco are not permitted in Latvia. Nicotine pouches are regulated in the Tobacco Products Act as tobacco substitutes. Oral tobacco is expected to remain banned, though important changes are expected to take place in the mid-term due to the approval of the amendment of the Tobacco Products Act.
