New combined research casts serious doubt on the reduced-risk potential of heated tobacco products (HTPs).

A team led by Sophie Braznell, research associate at the University of Bath Department for Health in the UK, conducted a meta-analysis of studies examining the health impact of HTPs. In total, 49 interventional clinical trials were covered, but the researchers were unimpressed with what they found.
