No timeline yet as Canada starts process of further restricting nicotine pouches

The Canadian government has initiated the process that will lead to new restrictions on nicotine pouches. Some in the industry say such restrictions should be extended to all nicotine replacement therapy (NRT) products.

TobaccoIntelligence has learned that Health Canada recently held a call with industry representatives to brief them on federal health minister Mark Holland’s plans to use new powers to introduce restrictions on nicotine pouches.
