Regulatory report: Q&A – China’s proposed tobacco law amendment

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) released the decision on amending the Regulations for the Implementation of the Law on Tobacco Monopoly of the People’s Republic of China at the end of March.

Following conversations with several industry insiders and the local authorities, this report aims to provide a basic understanding of the recent developments in China.
