Bipartisan congressional representatives, scientists, and industry stakeholders have all expressed concerns about criticism of Zyn pouches by New York Democratic senator Chuck Schumer.
Schumer, the Senate majority leader, recently called for a federal crackdown on Zyn nicotine pouches, claiming the product is being marketed towards teens. He also urged the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to investigate the company’s marketing and the product’s negative impact on health.
