Swedish Match was the clear winner in this year’s Tobacco Transformation Index, a project of the Foundation for a Smoke-Free World (FSFW) which seeks to rank major tobacco companies on their shift toward reduced-risk products (RRPs).
But there were positive signs for the reduced-risk sector across the Index as a whole, with ten companies’ overall scores rising while only five declined, although the rankings themselves barely varied from the previous edition of the Index in 2020.
