To ban or to regulate? Ireland and the UK look to decide the fate of nicotine pouches

Ireland is not actively looking to prohibit nicotine pouches through national regulation, contrary to recent reports. Instead, the country is investigating possible approaches for regulation, suggesting pouches become a regulated legal item on the Irish market. This approach has been echoed by UK retail enforcement, which says pouches are replacing disposable vaping devices as the unscrupulous device targeting youth in outlets.
