UK Tobacco Control Plan ‘must tackle misinformation’ about alternatives

Members of Parliament (MPs) have called on the UK government to ensure that the forthcoming Tobacco Control Plan will be taken as an opportunity to tackle misinformation around tobacco alternatives, encourage switching to less harmful products, and support online retailers.

During a backbench debate organised by Conservative MP Bob Blackman this week, Mark Pawsey, chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group (AAPG) for Vaping, said recognition of reduced-harm products should be integrated into the new plan.
