US FDA warns manufacturer for selling unauthorised flavoured ‘nicotine mints’

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued a warning letter to Washington-based manufacturer Nic Nac Naturals for selling unauthorised nicotine lozenges, which the company describes as “nicotine mints”, in both 3 mg and 6 mg strengths of nicotine and several flavours. 

The federal agency warned that these products, which it says resemble popular candies, could potentially cause severe nicotine toxicity or death if accidentally ingested by young children.
