Philip Morris’s bid to resume importing and selling its Iqos heat-not-burn (HnB) device in the US has failed following a decision by the US International Trade Commission (ITC).
The ITC denied the company’s request to stay the ban on continued import and sales of Iqos prodcucts while awaiting the outcome of an appeal against a patent-infringement claim won by RJ Reynolds. The quasi-judicial federal agency said Philip Morris had failed to identify any legal issue that would merit a stay.
