Oral tobacco continues to make a significant contribution to Altria’s numbers, as the company reported its results for the first quarter of 2024 with encouraging earnings from its On! nicotine pouch brand.
During the presentation of its financial results, Altria said its net revenues decreased by 2.5% to $5.6bn, primarily driven by lower net revenues in the smokable products segment. This was partially offset by higher net revenues in the oral tobacco products segment.
