Georgia: oral tobacco and nicotine pouch regulation, April 2024

Oral tobacco is regulated by the cornerstone of the Georgian tobacco regulation – the Law on Tobacco Control.

The law defines tobacco products as products containing tobacco or its elements, intended for smoking, chewing, spraying or inhaling. Smokeless tobacco is defined as a tobacco product that is not intended for smoking, namely, chewing, sucking or inhaling tobacco.
