More improvement needed – WHO report gives the world 7/10 for tobacco control

Seven out of ten people worldwide – five times as many as in 2007 – are protected against tobacco-related health issues by sound regulatory policies, according to the World Health Organization (WHO).

The WHO’s ninth report “on the global tobacco epidemic” says that around 71% of the world’s population is now covered by at least one policy aimed at helping save lives from tobacco.
