There is no specific regulation or tax for heated tobacco products in Chile. A new bill that would equate heated tobacco with tobacco products – specifically in terms of retail, advertising and public place usage – is currently being processed in Parliament.
This report provides an overview of the current regulation in place for heated tobacco products and snus, as well as possible near-future regulation should the proposed bill be adopted.
