Heated tobacco products are considered “new non-smoking tobacco products” in Greece, while the placing on the market of oral tobacco products is prohibited, except for chewing tobacco. In December 2019, the scientific advisor to the General Secretariat of Public Health, Yiannis Faropoulos, announced that a new regulatory framework for the circulation of e-cigs and heated tobacco products would be implemented to promote the implementation of several measures. This report provides a regulatory overview of heated tobacco and modern oral products in Greece.
