The main alternative tobacco product is naswar, an oral tobacco product that has been on the market for decades. Heated tobacco use is not popular and products that can be found in the country are imported from neighbouring countries. Nicotine pouches have just recently reached the market. All these products are still not specifically regulated.
This report provides an overview of the current regulatory regime in place for these tobacco alternatives, including any regulation that could be applicable.
