Spain will have a new smoking prevention plan in place this year, reforming the tobacco law – which was due to be amended in 2021.
After numerous delays in the country’s Tobacco Act reform schedule, which seemed to have been put on hold after press rumours indicated that the previous government was no longer going to push for it before the end of the legislative term, Spain’s new health minister Mónica García announced that a new Integral Plan for Smoking Prevention (PIT) will be in place before the end of 2024.
