Sweden’s shift to the right could be good news for tobacco alternatives industry

Sweden’s general election in September was potentially a win for the alternative tobacco products industry, some have argued, with the new right-wing bloc minority government likely to take a more lenient stance than its red/green predecessor.

Though September’s election saw the Social Democrats take the largest share of the vote (30.33%) and secure the largest number of seats (107) in the Riksdag, or parliament, the centre-left former ruling party now forms the main opposition.
